Kindness, Inc. to Close After 28 Years of Compassionate Service Mountain Home, AR

With profound gratitude and a touch of bittersweet reflection, Kindness, Inc. announces its closure effective August 31, 2025. The office will remain open until September 15, 2025, to assist with the transition.

Since 1997, Kindness, Inc. has been a beacon of hope and assistance in Baxter and Marion Counties, providing nonmedical services to seniors and individuals in need. Our dedicated volunteers have offered door-to-door transportation for medical appointments, grocery shopping, and daily reassurance calls, ensuring the well-being of our clients, especially during challenging times.

Operating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Kindness, Inc. has relied entirely on the generosity of local individuals, businesses, civic groups, and grants. We have received no federal, state, or county funding, making the support from our community all the more vital and appreciated.

The decision to close comes primarily due to a shortage of available volunteers over the past few years, along with other transportation options becoming available in the area, reducing the demand for our services. While this marks the end of an era, we take solace in knowing that the needs of our community will continue to be met through these new avenues.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our past event sponsors, volunteers, board members, financial contributors, and the clients we've had the honor to serve. Your support and dedication have been the cornerstone of our mission for the past 28 years.
